Checklist
First dental visit checklist
Implant, orthodontics or anything else — this is what is worth having with you the first time you visit any dental clinic in Korea.
- 1
ID and insurance details
Bring photo ID; some items such as check-ups and one scaling a year may be covered by national health insurance.
- 2
Note when symptoms started
When it began and what kind of pain it is — sensitivity, throbbing, or pain on chewing.
- 3
Past treatment history
Previous dental work — root canals, restorations, extractions — and roughly when, as best you recall.
- 4
Share conditions and medication
Tell reception about diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis and any medication you take.
- 5
Watch how costs are presented
Notice whether a proposal comes with items and reasoning, or only a single total.
- 6
Ask about copies of imaging
Check whether you can receive your X-rays and CT as files. It is what saves a repeat scan elsewhere.
- 7
Hours and booking rules
Evening and weekend hours, and the rules for changing an appointment. Map listings can be out of date, so a phone call is more reliable.
