It compares dental clinics area by area — implants, orthodontics and crowns/prosthodontics — by cross-checking specialist and equipment records published by Korea's Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA) against Naver visitor reviews. We do not visit clinics to assess them, and we do not accept material from them.

Out of 20. Three inputs are shared by every treatment: years open (up to 6), how large the Naver visitor review sample is (up to 6) and online information on the clinic's website (up to 2). The other 6 points depend on the treatment — cone-beam CT and registered oral surgery and prosthodontics for implants, registered orthodontists and CT for orthodontics, registered prosthodontists and the number of dentists for crowns. All the raw values are on the page, so anyone can recalculate.

No. It ranks how much published evidence can be verified. It does not measure clinical skill, surgical outcomes or patient satisfaction, and the right clinic depends on your own condition.

No. The order comes only from the published scoring method, and an automated check before publication blocks release if the printed scores and a fresh recalculation disagree. We have no partnership with any clinic.

Not as a standalone certification. Placement and restoration are often divided between specialists such as oral and maxillofacial surgeons and prosthodontists, so we use the number of registered specialists per field as a reference point.

A cone-beam CT is the 3D scanner used to check bone thickness and nerve canal position before planning where an implant goes. It bears directly on diagnostic accuracy for anything placed into bone, and whether a clinic has one — and how many — is on the HIRA record.

On top of the shared inputs (years open, visitor reviews, online information), orthodontics adds registered orthodontists (2 points each, up to 4) and cone-beam CT (2 points for one unit or more). CT is used only occasionally in orthodontics, so it counts for half of the implant maximum.

Crowns, bridges and dentures belong to prosthodontics. So on top of the shared inputs, that comparison adds registered prosthodontists (2 points each, up to 4) and the number of dentists (1 point for two, 2 for three or more). Cone-beam CT is not counted: what separates prosthodontic work is intraoral scanners and CAD/CAM, which public records do not show.

No — it means more visit experience has accumulated. Blog posts can be written without ever visiting, so they are excluded from the score; only visitor reviews tied to a recorded visit count.

Specialists and equipment are taken exactly as the clinic filed them with HIRA, so the filing date and today can differ. The collection period is printed at the bottom of every page, and we recommend calling before you visit.
